Jewelry Cleaning + Care
To help your jewelry last as long as possible, please follow these tips. It is best to remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, washing dishes, going to bed, etc. Soft stones like Turquoise can breakdown over time with repetitive exposure to the elements.
Do not use jewelry cleaner or harsh chemicals on your jewelry. Those pieces that come with a darkened patina can be removed by jewelry cleaners as well as potentially damage your stones.
Instead, use the silver polish cloth that comes with your purchase to bring back a nice shine. You can also use a soft toothbrush, warm water and a gentle dish soap if needed to remove excess dirt buildup.
Every piece of jewelry is designed to be worn for a lifetime. We will honor repairing any 55 North piece that does not live up to that standard beyond normal wear and tear (dainty necklace chains will need extra care due to their delicate nature). Please contact us if you have any concerns and we will discuss the options.
